BEST SELLER! This iconic scent is sometimes called Black Opium. I import this directly from Egypt, where it has been made for hundreds of years. The original blend is said to have had actual poppy oil in it, which may have had quite an effect, hence the name. This does not but is still intoxicating! A classic oriental, with delicious spices, amber and patchouli notes, warm, sexy and inviting. Great on both men and women, reputed to be an aphrodisiac. This versatile scent layers well with just about everything, adding a spicy oriental note. I particularly like it with Sacred Sandalwood and Scarlett Letter. $30.00 for the .25 oz. and $60.00 for the .50 oz.

OMgoodness, the very first scent I evah' purchased from Aroma Sanctum. I sank into bliss with this delightful scent and felt so exotically sensual. Total yum! The most interesting and fun parts for me is when i wore this scent both men and women were moved to comment, most often i heard, oh my god!!! what are you wearing or you smell amazing what are you wearing. I sent so many people to Salem to vist you Akuura and most became frequent visitors. I absolutely miss having you and your shop here, however I am thrilled you have continued to blend and sell your craft. Thank you! thank you!

I absolutely love this perfume!! I made a few purchases and kept smelling something so good )in the package/receipt) I couldn’t stop thinking of it!! I waited 3 days and finally called to ask the name of it and of course it was Tunisian Opium!!! I wear it all year round but love it in the colder months with its warmth and spicy notes or when I want to snuggle in!!! Everyone always asks me what I’m wearing and I’m happy to share where I get it!! This is a keeper and easily can wear all year!!!

This is a new perfume oil for me, the name alone intrigued me, my first impression upon putting this on, took me to a Christmas tree farm, there was just something about it that reminded me of Christmas, after it settled into my skin, the fragrance smelled deep of of my beloved patchouli and best of all on my husband it was like a aphrodisiac.. how can you go wrong with Tunisian Opium!!!

Every time I wear this, my wife sniffs and says, "ooh, what are you wearing?" I love the ancient roots and inspirations of this scent; it's old without being "old lady". As for whether it's an aphrodisiac...that's private.
